Based on the previous sightings of her from the common route, I'm really sure she's just faking it all. Why else would she be so happy about him becoming a better person if she allegedly "doesn't remember" their shared time together? The disease she has doesn't even factor about this, if I see any amnesia card being thrown in I would just attribute that as lazy writing.
