I read it about a year apart and I had no problems, but if you wait too long and you start to forget you'll probably run into trouble. It's honestly my biggest problem with the VN, the Chusingura FD is canon and all the events occur, but they didn't want to just replay the same scenes, so they skip over the scenes or show you what was happening elsewhere at the time, like there's a scene where Ken gets back to the base and they go "oh Ken, you just missed Suguha, he was here only a minute ago."
It's kind of a baffling decision because not including the scenes depicted in the Chusingura FD means it's a Shinsengumi VN where they almost completely skip Ikedaya (since that was in the Chusingura FD). It also means there's about five hours or so of the VN where half the main cast vanishes without explanation and when they come back they're badly injured and in Isarin's case, a radically different life philosophy, and when Ken asks what happened to change them all so much Hijirin just says "We got our asses kicked by 200 year old ghosts." I can't imagine trying to read Miburo without the Chusingura FD, it'd be incomprehensible.

I've been reading this Chinese Ace Attorney ripoff and it's actually pretty good so far, just started the 4th case.
It's VERY unashamedly an AA clone and doesn't try to have it's own gimmick or break from the series formula, but that's not a bad thing. The OST is excellent and easily on par with a real AA game, especially the various Pursuit and prosecutor themes. The humor is also very much in line with the actual series and made me kek a few times.

For cons, the English translation is a bit ESL-y, and that's a bit more noticeable on the first case, but it's not bad enough to ruin the game, almost everything is still perfectly understandable.
The first case also wasn't very good in my opinion, but 2 and 3 were better, though still easy so far.

Unless case 4 and 5 end up being absolute shit, I'd recommend any AA fan check this out. I'm not a shill since you literally can't even buy it right now (got removed from Steam because of Visa's bullshit, probably because one of the achievement titles has "lolita" in it?), but you can pirate it easily enough.
