If anything, the Frogs infested Castile and Aragon with inmigrants during Middle-Ages, the medieval documents talk about a massive flood from French basically jumping the wall into Spain.
From the anonymous chronicle of Sahagún, 118:
"Pues agora como el sobredicho rrei ordenase e estableçiese que aí se fiçiese villa, ayuntaronse de todas las partes del vniberso burgueses de muchos e diuersos ofiçios, conbiene a sauer, herreros, carpinteros, xastres, pelliteros, zapateros, escutarios e omes enseñados en muchas e dibersas artes e ofiçios; e otrosí personas de diuersas e estrañas prouinçias e rreinos, conbiene a sauer, gascones, bretones, alemanes, yngleses, borgoñones, normandos, tolosanos, prouinçiales, lonbardos, e muchos otros negoçiadores de diuersas naçiones e estrannas lenguas; e así pobló e fiço la villa non pequenna."
Translation
"And so, when the aforementioned king decreed and established that a town should be founded there, townspeople from all parts of the world gathered, of many and diverse trades — namely, blacksmiths, carpenters, tailors, furriers, shoemakers, shield-makers, and men skilled in many and various arts and crafts; and likewise, people from different and foreign provinces and kingdoms — namely, Gascons, Bretons, Germans, English, Burgundians, Normans, people from Toulouse, Provençals, Lombards, and many other merchants of diverse nations and strange tongues. And thus, he settled and founded a town not small."
