Well, EZ was revealed on one of the platform holders shows (Xbox), so that already most likely put more eyes on it than a Compile Heart game.
Actually now that I rewatch the trailer on this event, they had Rebecca in a pants costume maybe to avoid upskirts on their showcase, so it's possible Xbox was begrudgingly accepting of what's in the game.
