Well with Spider-Man, there's enough done very cleverly actually. It's not like he has any visage of a spider, like how Batman or Wolverine do, but webs are a known trademark of spiders and he's covered in webs, he also shoots webs, he has a spider symbol and a vaguely "buggish" look with the mask even if it's not how spider eyes look, and he poses all distorted and creepy like how spiders legs look all bent and angular
Scorpions have a lot less to work with, you kinda gotta hit the nail on the head if its actually supposed to be a "scorpion guy" and not like "codename: scorpion". I don't really have a problem with the tail, I get it's kinda goofy but to me most things in capeshit are, like Kravens outfit and Mysterios to me, are the dumbest looking.
