Yes, it's a vocation that usually isn't difficult to find a job doing but isn't going to make very much money in the middle of nowhere in Mississippi. It really comes down to how much do they charge in tuition and how much loan money the student take out to live on during barber college.

Seems doable as average barber pay in Mississippi is $4100/month. Given the rural area and being that they're just starting out, maybe $3k per month, leaving $1000 for lifestyle and savings. Not great but not bad, especially for the middle of nowhere.
