I went to the store and saw this dog toy that a dog I used to have about 15 years ago really liked. It's a rubber pig with a squeaker that makes little honk noises. I remember how much joy it brought my dog, he loved that honking pig so much you wouldn't even believe it. He would spend hours totally content to lay there and honk on it, he never tore it up, he just loved to give it little honks. He even slept next to it on his little dog bed. It made me happy thinking about how life has little moments like that, I remember that dog very fondly. He was so smart. I miss him sometimes, but it's just a reminder that you have to appreciate things in their own time, because nothing lasts forever. I hope wherever he is now, there are honky pigs for him to enjoy for the rest of time.
