“This-this shouldn’t be there, shouldn’t be possible. This thing is basically invincible. Hell, a nuke could hit it and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was still standing.”, Chris muttered out.
“Could it have been one of the things that got in that did it?”, Travis asked.
“No. Nothing I can think of that could pull that off when industrial chainsaws break on this thing.”, Aubrey responded while looking pensive and cute with her thinking cap on.
“That is odd- Jenn! Look! Right in the center! Do you see what I see!”, Emmy shouted out, as Chris was shaking his head some at what she was talking about concerning a patch of off-white wood with no bark.
And, when you got there…
Symbols etched into a supposedly invincible tree; the same symbols as before, two with a traditional trinity know above them; the lower ones had the same silver which looked like it was set in the wood. Small, just big enough for a fingertip to cover the bottom line.
“I… I knew it! Something is here! Something I would bet every Galleon in the family vault are keyed to the Pureblood decedents of Salazar!”, you shouted in triumph; rushed towards them with Emmy in tow before a strong pair of arms wrapped around you briefly before stronger ones from a girl who smelled like cinnamon and tasted like peaches broke the grasp.
Aubrey was behind her rival and was keeping him off you.
“Stop! ‘Brey! Last time someone died! People got hurt! You can’t possibly be so brainwashed by Jennifer and Emily to let them do it again!”
“Jenn and Emmy! Jerk! Jenn knows stuff; I trust her and don’t have a bad feeling.”, the tall, tanned girl cried out while keeping the sandy haired boy off you.
“Jenn? I want to… I don’t feel anything not great either… what does your “intuition” say?”
“Dead quite aside from just a gut feeling… that it will not get someone hurt. So-“
>Just our finger tips. No blood… for now. Just to check. We have to know. We have to find it Travis. (Option for blood open, if needed, contingent on a convincing roll depending on what you find with just flesh to wood.)
>We are doing this. Now. With blood since we know ours has worked before and something is here; something we need. Vital. Ours. Cover us because someone else is after it too!
>At night then. No one looks to be out right now but just to be safe. But we are checking; if someone already messed it up by then, I am racking you, Travy.
>Fine. For now. But I know what is buried here is important and now that the bark is gone? Who knows what person could beat us to the punch; over power the wards? We will try and hide it till then.

Also sorry this took a while. Work sucked and I had a little cold, no energy to work on this.
