The filename above your post for what led me to this thought. Wizard as a term is related to wizened. The use of age relation between the two terms implies to some degree that "wise" is almost inherent in wizardry.
Not preparing spells for a situation that you know you'll be exposed to is not so wise. Perhaps being uncomfortable will lead to this privileged lady to make 'wise' choices in the future, which then would make her more of a wizard than she is currently.
