I don't blame them.
The state of the manga is worse than it's ever been. It was always 3 steps forward, 2 steps back but the progress was always there. This time it's different. She said the rejection part out loud. This isn't just going back a checkpoint, this is straight down to step 0, or step -100 if you will. The fact that he's restarting the entire grind is incredibly sad to watch. It's not worth it man, she already said "no".
I'll give credit to Reiji though, no one knows how to do massive diabolical casual filtering like he does.
