I might not like HL2's gameplay but the story is fucking great. One of the few games where there seems to be something much bigger going on that's only hinted at
I suspect the reason hl2 ep3 never happened was that they could never write a satisfying ending. The combine is lovecraftian cosmic horror that the games barely show. Eli was right. epistle 3's ending is lame, a dyson sphere is the least the universe has to worry about
