That is bullshit, a few sci-fi elements in an otherwise fantasy setting doesn't make Dinosaur Planet the same as Star Fox.

This line is ESPECIALLY bullshit. Don't let the PR babble fool you, Adventures was rushed, had a lot of stuff cut even when it was made into a Star Fox game and was just a lackluster title with good visuals and music. And seeing the prototype, it was already on its way to being finished. They would have scaled down more than likely to reach the deadline, it's not uncommon to do so. Better selling game, yeah. Better game overall? Far from it.
