NTA, you're right about people taking it to far and reading to deep into it but P3s MC is at least slightly characterized as being a kind of pessimistic asshole.
Stuff like calling a jingle annoying while P4s MC calls it cheery, casually walking through empty streets covered in blood and coffins in the intro or how P3s MC can be a complete asshole who fucks with everyone like how you can teach Elizabeth or Bebe things wrong on purpose or making fun of social links in dialog choices. P4s or P5s MCs aren't like that.
We also have stuff like the movies, mangas and anime to show how they're meant to be characterized and thats how P3s MC is characterized in them too.
