Kinda.
The VN aspects of the game are very good, the girls are really cute, I enjoy their interactions and I like the overall feeling of the game.
I also enjoy (to an extent) the spreadsheet/gameplay side of the game, I have played several growth simulators in the past, so is that I dislike the genre.
The main issue is how "slow" everything feels after the first 3 or 4 hours.
The main idea is making your Horse Girl stronger so she can compete in bigger races and win tournaments.
But everything that actually makes your girl stronger is either timelocked and needs TONS of grind, or is paywalled.
By the end of the first day my horses were losing non-stop, acting depressed and sad about it.
Obviously I wish they could win, but the only way that I could help them win was whaling and the prices are really fucking expensive.
Today on the second day, the horses again were depressed after losing again and basically begging me to whale so they finally win.
This game is really into using psychological manipulation in a very open and shameless way.
Losing makes the girls feel miserable and bitter, so you feel compelled to whale and make them feel happy again.
It's like it's trying to trigger your provider or fatherly instincts.
I don't know if this is why the japanese we're spending so much money when the game released, literally the only way to make your horses happy is by opening the wallet to help them win.
