Cio had a few memorable quirks. Hell, her ability to call bullshit on all the bullshit going on was desperately needed and is sorely missed.
Big epic stories like this benefit greatly from a jaded shmoe there going "oh this is bullshit." Hell, Cio was better at being an "everyman" that the audience could side with than Allison. Allison reached a point where she was going along with DESTINY stuff while Cio was going "this is stupid as fuck and we're all going to die, argh I wish I didn't find you so fucking hot, I'd ditch you in a heartbeat you beautiful sexy moron." I could get behind THAT a lot more easily than whatever Allison and her crew have become at this stage.
