4chan was founded with the aim of being an unofficial sister site to Japan's famous "Futaba Channel." Of course, we're not trying to take over Futaba Channel... but rather, we're trying to create a message board system similar to the Japanese one, but in English. It's a long and difficult journey, but with everyone's cooperation, I'm sure we can create a great community and culture.

Anyone can join 4chan, but please refrain from fighting on the site. Fighting only creates a bad atmosphere for everyone. If you can abide by this rule, please tell your friends about it. Japanese people are equally welcome to use English.
