Nintendo is genuinely just as bad, (if not worse if we're going to get into the Wii of starting the trend of manufacturers bricking your hardware for modding) if not worse as the other major platforms.
I genuinely believe that they simply failed to become as terrible as them out of laziness and incompetence considering they rolled out the use your own internet ransom mid gen rather than at least having the courtesy to wait like Sony did to pretend it was remotely necessary to start charging a retard tax.
