Unrelated to the story. I always liked the idea of an eldritch being intruding into such a world and throwing off God's divine plan. If God is omniscient and omnipotent then he would know and be able to prevent this from happening unless you consider those things only being true within his own world. Then again he still would know it happens if you consider that he knows everything and exists everywhere and always.
It really depends on your take on a lot of these concepts. But I would like to see the closest thing to perfect and all powerful still being fucked over somehow (without ass pulls tho). Nothing gets me off more than God being fucked over. It does require outside intervention tho otherwise it's an asspull.
