Not sure who Gordon white is, desu.
It's tricky, there's a lot to think of, right and left hand paths, what they mean (good/bad light/dark). And there are things in life that we do not understand, there could be another reality that we are unaware of. Whether people want to accept it or not, there are spiritual/other worldly/"unnatural" things that often happen around us.
Scary stuff really (the unknown), but also interesting.

I also have that, but have yet to read it. I went through a phase of buying books I think I should read/know about (art of war, genealogy of morals, meditations, tibetian book of the dead, fingerprints of the gods, great giza powerplant, lovecraft collection)
Read through some, and started a couple more, but had them years and not really seized the opportunity to learn.
