My favorite cars will always be 80s-90s Japanese; the build quality, the aesthetics/design, including the interiors (I think Japanese cars from 1989-94 marked the peak of automotive interior design), the way the technology had reached that perfect apex of analog & digital combined.
I get in a modern car ad it's like I'm always sitting on that cheap nasty dark grey "leather" like the massage chairs in the mall, surrounded by that cheap, textured tupperware material for the dash/center console/door panels, and everything is in the blockiest shaped possible (with either chrome or silver painted accents). Fucking hate it. Hate the giant iPad where console controls used to be. And the build quality is such shit that it makes my 02 Diamante seem like a Toyota Land Cruiser.
