Alright that was funny. I wasn't paying attention and saw my shield guy dead at start of turn, so I reloaded save and watched my shotgunner fuckin shoot him in the back. Reloaded save and made my shotgunners in third row (meant to be in second row but I didn't feel like fixing them) flip back and forth to use up TU, hoping this is good enough, didn't make my shield guys crouch. No friendly fire this time, killed a mantid, and my guy with electroshock rifle in fourth row missed 3 friendlies to knock out a Sebillian.
