The thing with rural land scouting is you have to find the right factors when purchasing to make it be a good deal.
Rural land should
>be at least be 20-25 miles from town with a full grocery store with reasonable prices
>have a road preferably state owned going through your property
>at least 50 acres with mostly state owned land around you
>rural, off the highway, no light pollution
There's a good reason why people dont move west because its federal owned a lot of the time. If you can find a good deal with all these, buy it. Anywhere good is west from north arizona to nevada if you can find rural land around elko to even idaho but idaho is a lot more expensive.
