They had a really impressive AI but it got lost in, what I assume, is someone really wanting a piece of that FNAF pie once that became super popular.

Also I swear with FNAF and Neighbor, they're really afraid to just say the bad guys were pedophiles. Strong I know, but if you wanted a better adult fear used of children being hurt, just imply THAT and you'll really have a dark horror game. Mostly because it's the most terrifying and disgusting thing I can imagine.
