That's actually not impossible but would require losing weight from already sketchy plates like the 1.7lb Dayton RF1 (this is a shady plate) and the 1.3lb Hesco 3801LV (which is probably advertised wrong by Verretts and is an ICW plate). Can whoever is posing this rumor point to any advances in Dyneema or Spectra Shield that aren't being utilized by the current field of plates?
Interestingly, if this is true and there have been "black-side" advances in PE, that could point to the GEN-6 Tactical Stand Alone being significantly lighter than the projected 4lb (4.85lb for the GEN-5 28595, 4.4lb for the GEN-5B VelSys "N94")... or there could be a GEN-6B out there. Interesting.
