You must be ugly or something anon. Usually female doctors chat me up while I'm lying there on the hospital bed telling me about everything in their lives. It's like they desperately need someone to confide all their human emotions into because their coworkers apparently treat them like robots. It doesn't come off as simple small talk either, they tend to talk about oddly personal topics and get flustered very easily. I've been in hospitals quite often so I guess I've had more exposure to this kind of thing than most people, but I can absolutely assure you that your assertion about body language is absolutely false in most cases. Particularly the younger doctors are full of pent up emotions (both positive and negative) that constantly come bubbling to the surface.
The only times I've witnessed what you describe is from older doctors who are clearly exhausted from the long hours their working, or highly renowned specialists who are completely full of themselves.
