drawing isn't the shame strokes as writing
having a messy line with good anatomy is better than a clean line with bad anatomy anyways
but if you really cared about messy lines you can use a smoothing but I wouldn't recommend it too much since it reduces the process

Also don't trace but don't be afraid to reference heavily, as long as you're not overlaying something you can learn
