you gotta realize that the endgame damage graphs dont mean that much, especially if you're roaming, fighting, skirmishing, trading health and in general you're fighting which is correct depending on your pick/matchup, while the correct play for an adc is to sit and not miss a single CS, most time only stepping away from that activity when they are certain to get a kill or are necessary to claim an objective, so most times you will have more dmg than your adc no matter the game outcome, if you lose he's 2k you're 10k, that means nothing as he simply didnt get to play and no one played around him

secondly depending on your rank, you gotta play hard carries to get through low ranks, otherwise you're choosing to support and dedicate your entire time to someone who doesn't even know what to do past laning phase
