It doesn't matter in context, my entire argument is the idiots claiming that Gateway advert to be "the Alienware of the 90s" are morons who can't denote context and don't know the comparative pricing of that era for what you got. The Falcons of 1998 would've been more than the Gateways. PCs were still expensive in general and not every fucking pleb had computers nor needed them yet.

Except DOUBLE the VRAM on the graphics card and 100 Mhz more processor clock speed. Those were both big deals; again especially the graphics card. And equivalent 16MB graphics card in 1998 by itself probably would've been close to 300-500 bills if not more compared to a 100-300 8MB card the same year.

True but for quality reasons they didn't like using SLP or ELP on real releases, which didn't matter as much if you're recording shit off the TV anyway, which is what is specified in my context.
For example Centennial the VHS series is 12 VHS cassettes, but recording off TV we got the whole series on maybe 4-6 VHS (I don't recall and I'm not travelling to my parent's house and digging out the VHS cabinets to check). But also like Lonesome Dove, I remember we had that on two recorded VHS tapes for the whole four-part series, and I think the official release was one tape for each episode.
