The reason people are talking about Daggerfall is this is just billboards and a big fancy skybox. It would be pretty easy to make something this nice looking from this specific angle with slightly higher res Daggerfall tech. But the castle isn’t part of the “level.” Honestly it’s mostly the skybox doing the work here. Halo is another example of a game series that got a ton of “wow” factor out of simple having elaborate skyboxes.
