My theory: Ralsei isn't the horn headband, he's HALF of the headband. He's the part of Kris who wanted to be the perfect child for the Dreemurrs, the part who felt bad for the mean pranks, the one who wanted to be accepted by the monsters. There's another Darkner, formed by the other half of the horns, lurking in the dark and waiting to strike. She (because Toby will probably do some gender shit with Kris; if he really wants Kris to be a they/them, why would something as personal as the horns be exclusively male?) will look like a grown woman version of Kris with red horns and an edgelord aesthetic. She'll be the half of Kris that represents that "child rejected by the village will burn it down to feels its warmth" idiom. The part that's fed up with trying to fit in with monsters, that wants to run wild and prove all their negative opinions about humans true. The part of Kris that liked playing the Mantle game and only wants to do what's fun, other people's thoughts or safety be damned. The Knife that never grew dull.

The more I think about it, the more I start to think that ERAM is Kris's horns, not Ralsei
