Do you read the comics? She is more involved in side-plots than getting saved all the time. There have been times where that does happen but she is mostly there as support for Peter and other characters as well as connecting Peter more to the civilians and having B-plots going on. Raimi's take was basically just Gwen except even more unreasonable with her self-interest in those movies. That was just to add more unnecessary Parker Luck type stuff for some reason. Dunno why it happened that way but at least the first movie was largely tame about it.

If you step outside those bad adaptations maybe you'll get why she is liked and why Felicia isn't as emphasized. She probably should get more AU stories where she is the main love interest but sadly creators are hacks nowadays.

Also huh? Was there some bad fan fiction just posted? I couldn't tell. It was so shit it must have been written by a Polish ESL. Truly as relevant as Dan Slott's contributions to this franchise. Hardly noticeable. In fact the thing he most is known for had it's movie adaptationvjust get delayed again and thus, followed in his footsteps by making all the AU Spider-Men look bad so that Miles could be propped up and be delayed because they were too lazy to plan it out.

Anyway, check out pic rel. MJ truly is a global draw and culturally recognized part of Spider-Man.
