I decided mid-run I wanted to count level caps not just for gym leaders and the Champion but for certain rival fights and major evil team fights... problem was Freyja was already 17 a level over the cap, and everyone else was level 15 or 16 until I caught Sakura, which I lost Kaguya for which is where I pulled the name from. My brain isn't able to process the idea that a type can hit super effective against another type, but not take not very effective damage from the reverse relationship. I then lost Sakura using Rollout, despite saying out loud how risky using a move the prevents you from switching is, that forced everyone fight Snorlax as he had boosted all his defenses, and I couldn't do more than chip damage, this meant that Sinnamon, who I intended to kill Corpfish was over level cap, and everyone else was so close to 17 they couldn't let me catch a monster on route 7, to help with the fight.
I remember android 19's Corpfish being a monster, so I had Vesta my best attacker out first to try and kill him as fast as possible, I failed. When Vesta got low, I sent out Lucia, attempting to paralyze the Corpfish, which took two turns this got Vesta really low, before I pulled out Ashely who got killed instantly. Vesta returned, got a shot off before dying, and all the while Calem had been chipping it down (he also killed Trevor's Pikachu) he finally killed it as Lucia came back out, and finished the fight killing Trevor's Flebébé.
