>Not a good argument.
It is a completely fair argument when you were the one who brought up the idea that this animation looked stiff. If you had said the characters look lighter that'd be different, and I'd agree with you. Their fast movements do make them look lighter. But they don't look stiff. They move like fighting game characters. The whole segment at 0:36 looks great. The characters interact with each other and the background. The throw on the ground looks great, the dropkick looks great. Obviously more time could be spent adding even more detail and more in-betweens, but the key poses that exist in that fighting segment are good. The intention of this animation is to show how quickly these characters move, and it succeeds there. Scrag's intentions are typically to show how heavy his characters are, and he generally succeeds there. Sometimes his jiggle physics are a little too sensitive, however, and could be reigned in.

I dunno man. It feels like we're being pedantic over the word "stiff", whereas you simply don't like this style of animation and prefer everything to be slow. I know I'll never convince you this animation has energy, I'm just really trying to understand how you could come to that conclusion. This guy wanted to make a light and snappy animation, and he made a light and snappy animation. The animation has a mix of fluid movement and choppy movement, which makes the choppy movement feel intentional. Animation is all about contrast after all, and it's not as easy as it looks. Obviously the guy isn't perfect (that's Eskoz) and has stuff to work on, but there's clear ability there.
