Heavy vehicles do significantly damage roads. Given they are likely using rubber treads, the damage would be mitigated. Still you are likely looking at 60-70 tons for an M1 abrams. Max legal weight is 40 tons. It's probably fine if you're carful and aren't doing it a bunch. If the road already sucks though, then you're in trouble.
