That's unequivocally wrong. If that were the case, then every performance car would only have a single seat and be completely stripped out. And yet, most of them have leather seating, leather everywhere in fact. Sound deadening, suspension that is hard but not as hard as it would be for pure performance, sunroofs, 18 speaker audio systems with 2 subwoofers etc.

Experience and engagement is the primary purpose of a performance car. Numbers just assist in that experience and engagement.
