I've actually been thinking of doing a no bonfire run, you get a pvp ring after it that makes your right hand weapon invisible (though I'm not interested in PvP, I just want to do it because it seems fun)
I read that it sounds harder than it actually is, you can interact with bonfires and respawn on them, you just can't rest on them, which, if you're playing on new game plus, you won't have the need to travel back to the emerald herald since you're already high level.
but I dunno, I feel like I'll probably just give up half-way through
