I'm sure there's a lot of trash out there, I've definitely discovered some of the cartoons I enjoyed when I was a kid didn't hold up at all. But I've also discovered some of it holds up really well. I enjoy The Incredibles more now than when I was 9. I do detect a trend of children's media getting progressively lazier presumably because parents aren't actively monitoring their children's media consumption as much.
Also if you talk to normies you'll find that there's a lot of them who defend terrible live action adaptations purely because they're live action. It's a bit like that segment of gamers who seemingly only rate games on graphical fidelity and ignore everything else.
