>/a/ is the primary board for discussing anime but you are not required to only ever discuss/post anime in /a/ as anime culture permeates the entire site. It's not some sort of containment board like /mlp/ is if that's what you're suggesting. There's no "no anime outside /a/" rule like the "no ponies outside /mlp/" rule.
