If you look at the cancer clinical trials with it, the toxicity/side effect profile really isn't great. But there are some other "alt cancer treatments" with good efficacy against COVID and better side effect profiles, like Bromelain plus NAC: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-025-92242-y
