Better not look up what they did to the German civvies inhabiting "their" newly-gained lands after the war was over. Freedom from consequences was all it took for most of them to turn into rabid dogs, destroying everyone they perceived as having any relation to Nazi Germany whatsoever. Women, children, families with German surnames--people entirely disconnected from the war effort. Anything to feed their generational inferiority complex. Anything in the name of the new myth of righteous revenge and well-deserved repayment. Even modern Czechs will boast about it to this day when confronted, even supposedly apolitical ones. A small-minded, despicable people, whom you should not trust if it can be at all avoided.
