This show has the same problem as Moon Girl did, and nearly every other show by the same studio. It's too focused on "cool" animation to the detriment of everything else about it. The fights look "cool" but everything is extremely hard to follow and there's absolutely zero sense of place to any of it. I would hesitate to outright call it incomprehensible but 99% of the fights are essentially transported to shifting multicolored voids and the show likes to take random shots all over the place and animate them in a similar isolated crazy way that makes everything from the pacing to the continuity of a scene feel jarring and bizarre.

The show in isolation looks very pretty, it's full of very smooth and dynamic animation - but as an actual cartoon intended to have plot and characters there's nothing to grab onto because it never stays fucking still and it's difficult to get a handle on a scene's locale and progression. It's always jumping all over the place, it never feels tangible. If you just want to look at smooth animation, you're better off watching old shorts from the golden age except there's no pretense of those being anything more than they are, and they're much easier to follow while boasting the same benefits
