I visited China with my family a few times (father used to do business over there) and it's crazy how gaudy and tasteless the average middle class Chinese person (man or woman) is.

They have all this golden, shiny, plastic shit everywhere you look. But it's not even real gold of course, it's just clearly poorly constructed, inferior products designed to mimic actual expensive materials.
