Goose you bitch
If you're here, I'd just like to remind you of how jealous I am, and how fortunate you are to be in the position you're in, and how you better not squander this opportunity in the present or in the future. You're a good artist and a great creative and obviously have the ability to create things people love. No matter how hard I try, I will probably never create anything that becomes even a fraction as popular as the things you do on a daily basis

Do not fuck this up.

That's the clever thing about Jax: he's not an extremely smart character (he's too impulsive for that), but he has positioned himself really well with Caine. He seems to be the character who's most comfortable around Caine, and talks to him a lot. Hard to say if it's the most - I think Pomni might've talked to him the most out of anyone - but Jax has definitely become something of a teacher's pet.

Now I'll admit I did use some strong language in that post to get the point across, because saying "he's pretty sad" sounds weak, but I'm serious about what I'm saying. I'm not saying this for sex reasons or because I want to push one ship or the other - I have my preferences, but those don't have much place in serious character discussion. I really do believe Jax COULD choose to do better, but he won't, because it would make him unhappy, and he is a fundementally selfish person, who prizes his own happiness over the happiness over other people. He is here for the ride, and he doesn't want to care about what other people think, because that would mean he'd have to worry about the consequences of his actions. The Circus is the perfect place for a guy like that.

Don't misinterpret "I don't think he's capable of changing" with "he literally cannot physically stop himself from behaving the way he does" - I'm saying he has the capacity, and more times than not, will choose not to, because he's that sort of guy. And I do think that makes him more interesting, and more tragic, because he could do better, he just won't because of his own choices. Every single time.
