Russian forces have wounded at least nine people, including a child and four police officers, in a series of drone and artillery strikes across Ukraine's southern Kherson region over the past day, Ukrainian officials said on Monday.
The National Police reported that Russian attacks targeted 47 populated areas, damaging a multi-story apartment building, ten private homes, a medical facility, a mobile phone tower, a water tower, and other critical infrastructure.
In the village of Zymivnyk, early morning artillery and drone strikes hit a private house, injuring a 51-year-old man and his 17-year-old daughter. In Nikolske, a 47-year-old man was hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury and shrapnel wounds after being struck by an FPV drone.
Separately, in the Dnipro district of Kherson city, a drone attack on Monday morning injured two women, aged 45 and 71. Both were hospitalized with blast-related injuries. Another Russian shell struck the city's main theater, damaging the building's facade.
Additionally, four police officers who came under artillery fire in the center of Kherson on July 19 later sought medical attention and were diagnosed with concussions, the police service added.
