honestly, Gran kinda started the comic at the perfect time to do a real legitimate story. she got to draw her cute mini-comics and the more relatable comics but wasn't as subject needing to make them to get attention for her work. who knows if octopus pie could've been made in 2014, if it was actually started then instead of 2007.
