Well if we want to get that deep...
1 - Roselia
Could represent May's belief in just being alive as always a positive. Maybe she values her youth (and might be a bit vain) and fears growing old, even had passing thoughts about what it'd be like to be immortally young. Then Ingrain happens and May realizes there can actually be too much of a good thing.
2 - Blaziken
May's primary fighter, who's overleveled. Blaziken could represent May's trainer career, the career she invested most of her waking hours and effort on achieving, and the "fire" that drove her to be so ambitious. But maybe her ambition made her neglect other aspects of her life in the process.
3 - Magcargo

Magcargo was only temporarily on the team to speed up egg hatching with Magma Armor/Flame Body. This thing taking up a team slot represents just how badly May wanted her damn Budew egg, and maybe her desperation or arrogance. It's possible she didn't even have much of a bond with Magcargo, only seeing it as an egg incubator, which could have upset the Pokemon a bit.
