It would be better if you cooked down the tomatoes, onions and spices to a sauce first before adding the chickpeas. Like making a pasta sauce, a low and slow cooking time gives the sauce deeper flavour.
Garnish with fresh coriander and some sliced red onions. Maybe squeeze some lemon juice on top!
