I don't care about the feathers vs scales shitflinging, but completely abandoning your IPs style to just put in a generic accurate raptor is incredibly boring. They didn't think "What would a feathered raptor in the JP universe look like?" they just looked at conservative portrayals like pic related and copy pasted it in to please armchair paleontologists. You could dump this Utahraptor into Prehistoric Kingdom and I wouldn't even be able to tell its from JP, might as well be a modded creature.
The problem with "Realistic" dinosaurs isn't that they're part of some woke jewish conspiracy cult. It's that nerds are being so fucking autistic over it they're killing any creative freedom artists used to have. Part of the appeal of prehistoric animals is that you can portray them in hundreds of different ways since we'll never actually see them in the flesh. There is never a "Correct" way to design dinosaurs unless you're explicitly making a documentary. Jurassic Park is the last franchise where we should be seeing overly safe designs like this.
