Why do so many people with severe depression push people away? I tried listening, I gave advice, I tried to help but I guess it was not enough and in the end, she decided to push me away out of fear of "hurting" me because of what she was going through. But in the end, knowing that she might never be a part of my life again is more damaging than helping her endure whatever pain she's going through
