it's fascinating how children are drawn to things that they intuitively recognize are like themselves. It speaks to the mirror-like way in which human psychology/empathy works and demonstrates that humans innately have a preference towards other humans that are like themselves. In their unassuming innocence, children are more honest about the tribalistic nature than their adult peers who attempt to struggle against their own psychology and demonstrate out-group preference.
